Intern Testimonials

Caroline Agsten

Interning at the National Committee during this turbulent period in U.S.-China relations has been fundamental to sharpening my own perspectives on the relationship and envisioning the path forward. My internship has allowed me to engage in a variety of projects — both internal research work as well as externally-facing products — that have contributed to furthering the National Committee’s overall mission. I’ve been able to take ownership of my work from inception to completion, as well as be part of hardworking and inspiring teams. It’s been so energizing to work alongside staff members who care deeply about the bilateral relationship and bring different opinions, insights, and experiences to deepening engagement and building mutual understanding.

William Chu

The National Committee gave me an opportunity to apply my academic knowledge on the frontlines of the U.S-China people-to-people relationship. Learning in the classroom is one thing, but it was altogether a transformative experience to be able to take part in helping experts from the United States and China get together to have a conversation. There are very few places that can deliver the same sort of mission-driven culture that the National Committee practices on a daily basis.
