We are deeply saddened by the loss of our executive vice chair and long time friend and advisor, Dr. Henry A. Kissinger. At the same time we are grateful for his unwavering commitment to ensuring that relations between the United States and China move forward in ways that are beneficial not only to themselves, but to the whole world.
At our annual gala held last month in his honor, Dr. Kissinger spoke of his hopes as well as the imperative of a positive and peaceful future Sino-American relationship. The audience stood in rapt attention for the entire 10 minutes.
The greatest honor both our countries could give him would be to work to make that happen.
